Technology & Treatment Features

We specialize in the 5th Generation Gamma Knife (Gyro Knife) precision radiotherapy, ideal for patients who can’t undergo surgery, have metastatic tumors, recurrence after surgery, or are concerned about side effects. We often treat brain tumors, lung cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, and prostate cancer.
The Gyro Knife is one of the most advanced precision radiotherapy systems available today. It delivers focused radiation to the tumor without damaging surrounding healthy tissue. The treatment is non-invasive, painless, and bloodless.

Typically, patients require 10–12 sessions, with each session lasting 10–20 minutes. No hospitalization is usually needed, making it ideal for elderly or weaker patients.
Yes, Gyro Knife is especially effective for patients who’ve had surgery, chemo, or radiotherapy but experienced recurrence or metastasis. It is often used as a follow-up or alternative treatment. A doctor will assess your case based on your scans.
Gyro Knife is a high-precision, low-risk treatment. Side effects are usually mild—some patients may feel slight fatigue or redness in the treated area, but recovery is quick. Compared to traditional radiotherapy, it is safer and more targeted.
Yes. Gyro Knife is non-invasive, painless, and does not require anesthesia, making it ideal for elderly patients, children, or physically weak individuals. Our doctors will customize the treatment plan according to the patient’s age and condition.
Besides Gyro Knife, we offer:
☑ Multi-disciplinary tumor board (MDT)
☑ Targeted therapy / immunotherapy consultation
☑ Advanced radiotherapy (IMRT / X-Knife)
☑ Image-guided interventional procedures

🔹 Targeted & immunotherapy combination plans
🔹 Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine & pain control
🔹 Nutritional, psychological, and post-recovery support

We provide pre-op evaluation and post-op support (radiotherapy, targeted therapy) for a full treatment cycle.

-Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE)
-Percutaneous radiofrequency/microwave ablation (RFA/MWA)
-Intravascular radiation / embolization

These therapies are minimally invasive, fast to recover, and suitable for patients with poor surgical tolerance.

Medical Evaluation & Booking

You only need to provide your latest CT/MRI scans and diagnosis, and we will arrange a free preliminary evaluation by our specialist doctor in Hygeia to determine if Gyro Knife treatment is suitable.
Very simple:
1️⃣ Send us your medical report / CT / MRI scan
2️⃣ Fill in basic info (we’ll assist)
3️⃣ Wait for doctor’s evaluation (1–2 working days)
4️⃣ If suitable, we’ll assist with the treatment travel plan to China
Just send us your medical report for a free preliminary review. If the doctor confirms suitability, we’ll proceed to confirm the appointment. A small deposit may be required to secure your treatment slot; the rest is paid directly at the hospital.

Travel, Visa & Stay

It’s not complicated. We’ll help arrange everything: appointments, travel, translation, pickup, accommodation recommendations, etc. You will have Malay- or English-speaking support staff throughout the journey, so you can focus fully on your recovery.
The treatment usually takes 10–12 sessions, once a day, so you’ll need to stay around 2–3 weeks. We will help you arrange a nearby hotel or service apartment, which is convenient, safe, and affordable (RM100–180/night)
Yes, a China visa is required, either for tourism or medical treatment. We’ll help by providing an official hospital invitation letter and medical statement. If needed, we can also guide you to a local travel agent who handles visa applications.
Yes, of course. Many patients bring family members along. We can help arrange family-friendly rooms or twin-sharing options, so your companion can stay nearby. They can also wait in the hospital’s family lounge during treatment.

Cost & Testimonials

Treatment cost depends on the tumor type and size. As a national public hospital, Hygeia offers transparent and reasonable pricing. After doctor evaluation, we’ll provide a full quote.
⚠️ The good news is: with precision therapy, many patients only need one session, saving both time and cost of hospitalization.
Yes, we have helped many patients from Malaysia, including those with brain metastases from lung cancer, inoperable liver cancer, and recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer. The results are excellent, and some patients have shared their stories. We can send you their videos or testimonials.
The duration of effect varies by condition and patient, but most patients experience long-term control or tumor clearance after Gyro Knife. Recurrence rates are much lower than with conventional radiotherapy. We recommend follow-up reviews every few months to ensure continued success.
